LOS ANGELES, California –
Josh Beckett threw baseball’s first no-hitter of the season earlier this week, but later tested positive for possible HGH use during a routine drug check. Many suspect he could be a part of the Anthony Bosch Miami Clinic scandal. Beckett previously played for the Boston Red Sox, and prior to that he was a pitcher for the once Florida Marlins, which is what has lead to the tie to Anthony Bosch. Bosch was caught in a controversy a few years ago after several MLB players were caught and released for receiving HGH and other steroids and drugs at Bosch’s bio-genesis clinic in South Florida.
MLB officials, faced with another possible steroid/cheating scandal, have decided to test every player that has ever been a part of the Marlins organization, including current rosters. With this search they hope to stop the use of HGH, as well as other forms of cheating in baseball. The only exception, of course, being the New York Yankees, who are always privy to 2nd chances when it comes to cheating and rule breaking.
As of the time of this writing, Beckett had not commented on the accusation, except to say that it was completely false. Agents for Beckett and the LA Dodgers also had no comment. There is speculation that other members of the Dodgers could also be using HGH or other steroids, and the commissioner of baseball has said that it is possible that there may be a team-wide or even league-wide testing of all players and staff, including umpires, coaches, and even batboys.
Today Japanese phenom Masahiro Tanaka was introduced to the New York Yankees. Tanaka who dominated the Japanese league with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Tanaka’s numbers were as follows:
-24-0 Win-Loss record
Only logical explanation for this, PEDs.
Reporters asked Tanaka why he chose the Yankees, Tanaka responded saying “What kind of question is that? I chose the Yankees because they are offering me so much money to just throw a ball, anyways I will get hurt before the All Star game like every other overpaid Yankee so it is basically free money!” Reports wanted to ask Yankees GM Brian Cashman about the deal with Tanaka but he was unavailable at the time reporters heard him weeping in his office as he wrote the check to the future bust.
Reporters also questioned about the Alex Rodriguez scandal to Tanaka and if he was aware of the current situation. “A-Rod? Oh yeah that guy has more steroid connects than millions he gave me about 6 phone numbers but I already have my connect back home he was the the reason I improved so much.”
Richard Sherman was fined by the league earlier this week and he has made the following comments in a news conference:
“You’re fining me?!?!?! Im the best corner in the game! You should fine Crabtree for being so damn sorry.”
Sherman was fined again for his comments in the news conference.
Roger Goodell was thinking about suspending him for the Super Bowl but the Seattle Seahawks owner bribed Goodell with an ounce of marijuana and Goodell lifted the suspension and suspended Ndamukong Suh instead for no apparent reason.
